The Role
We're seeking talented Laravel Developers at Junior, Medior, and Senior levels to join our network of developers working on robust web applications and APIs for our European clients. You'll work remotely from home in the Philippines with the flexibility to visit our Davao office when needed for collaboration or team events.
You'll be working with Laravel to build scalable, secure backend systems and web applications across various industries. Whether you're augmenting a client's existing team or working on dedicated project delivery, this role offers the opportunity to expand your skills while working with international teams.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications and APIs using Laravel. Your work will involve collaborating closely with product teams to translate requirements into elegant technical solutions, writing clean and maintainable code that follows Laravel best practices, and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables. You'll work with databases to design efficient schemas and optimize queries, integrate third-party services and APIs, and contribute to technical discussions to help shape architectural decisions for the projects you work on.
What We're Looking For
We're hiring at multiple experience levels. Here's what we're looking for at each:
Junior Laravel Developer (0-2 years experience)
Basic proficiency in PHP and understanding of Laravel fundamentals
Familiarity with MVC architecture and Laravel's core concepts
Understanding of basic database design and SQL
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Willingness to learn and grow with mentorship
Basic knowledge of Git version control
Strong problem-solving attitude and eagerness to tackle challenges
Medior Laravel Developer (2-5 years experience)
Strong proficiency in PHP and proven experience building Laravel applications
Solid understanding of Laravel ecosystem, packages, and best practices
Experience with Eloquent ORM, migrations, and database relationships
Experience working with RESTful API development and authentication (Laravel Sanctum/Passport)
Knowledge of frontend technologies (Vue.js, React, or Blade templates)
Understanding of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)
Comfortable with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
Ability to work independently on features with minimal supervision
Experience working in an agile environment
Senior Laravel Developer (5+ years experience)
Expert-level proficiency in PHP and extensive Laravel experience
Deep understanding of Laravel architecture and ability to make sound technical decisions
Experience with microservices architecture and API design patterns
Proven track record of delivering complex web applications and systems
Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
Strong knowledge of performance optimization, security best practices, and scalable architectures
Experience with queue systems (Laravel Horizon, Redis Queue)
Knowledge of testing practices (PHPUnit, Pest)
Ability to lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
All Levels: Strong English communication skills are required as you'll be working with international teams. We value developers who are self-motivated, take ownership of their work, and are passionate about staying current with Laravel and PHP development trends and technologies.
Nice to Have
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React, Livewire), knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, Laravel Forge), familiarity with Docker and containerization, experience with payment gateway integrations (Stripe, Mollie, etc.), knowledge of Elasticsearch or other search engines, contributions to open-source projects, experience with Laravel Nova or Filament for admin panels, and experience working with distributed teams across different time zones would all be valuable additions to your profile.
