The Role
We're seeking talented QA Engineers at Junior, Medior, and Senior levels to join our network of quality assurance professionals ensuring the highest standards for our European clients' software products. You'll work remotely from home in the Philippines with the flexibility to visit our Davao office when needed for collaboration or team events.
You'll be working across web, mobile, and enterprise applications to ensure quality through comprehensive testing strategies. Whether you're augmenting a client's existing QA team or working on dedicated project delivery, this role offers the opportunity to expand your skills while working with international teams.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through comprehensive testing strategies and processes. Your work will involve collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria, designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for various types of testing, and performing manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. You'll identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems, develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks, participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives, and provide feedback on product quality and suggest improvements. You'll also verify bug fixes and perform regression testing, contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices, and ensure applications meet quality standards before release.
What We're Looking For
We're hiring at multiple experience levels. Here's what we're looking for at each:
Junior QA Engineer (0-2 years experience)
Understanding of software testing fundamentals and QA methodologies
Experience with manual testing including functional and regression testing
Familiarity with test case design and execution
Basic knowledge of bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, browsers, APIs)
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Excellent communication skills for reporting issues clearly
Willingness to learn test automation
Eagerness to learn and grow in quality assurance
Medior QA Engineer (2-5 years experience)
Proven experience in both manual and automated testing
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
Experience writing automated test scripts in at least one language (JavaScript, Python, Java, C#)
Solid understanding of API testing and tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
Experience with performance testing concepts and tools
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests
Experience with mobile testing (iOS/Android) or web application testing
Ability to create comprehensive test strategies and test plans
Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools
Understanding of different testing types (smoke, sanity, integration, end-to-end)
Ability to work independently and manage testing activities
Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
Senior QA Engineer (5+ years experience)
Extensive experience in quality assurance across multiple platforms and technologies
Expert knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices
Proven track record of building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch
Strong programming skills in multiple languages for test automation
Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling)
Knowledge of security testing principles and tools
Experience mentoring junior QA engineers and leading QA initiatives
Ability to define QA strategies, standards, and processes for projects
Strong understanding of continuous testing in CI/CD environments
Experience with containerization and testing in Docker/Kubernetes environments
Knowledge of test data management and test environment setup
Ability to advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle
Experience with multiple testing approaches (BDD, TDD, exploratory testing)
All Levels: Strong English communication skills are required as you'll be working with international teams. We value QA engineers who are detail-oriented, proactive in identifying issues, and passionate about ensuring software quality. The ability to balance manual and automated testing approaches is crucial.
Nice to Have
ISTQB or other QA certifications, experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow), knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG standards), familiarity with cross-browser and cross-device testing, experience with visual regression testing tools, understanding of database testing and SQL, knowledge of version control systems (Git), experience with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs), contributions to open-source testing tools or frameworks, experience with load/stress testing and monitoring tools, familiarity with contract testing and microservices testing, and experience working with distributed teams across different time zones would all be valuable additions to your profile.
